This is the PRS Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 Violin Amber Sunburst 10 Top Guitar. You are looking at a rare custom color called Violin Amber Sunburst. Be the only kid on the block a PRS Custom 24 in this custom finish. The Custom 24 is the original PRS guitar Paul Reed Smith took to his first tradeshow in 1985. This is the guitar that put PRS on the map. It is a classic. This guitar is a workhorse that serve you well playing all types of music. A perennial favorite with musicians, this model features a Pattern Thin mahogany neck and 59/09 treble and Vintage bass pickups wired for the redesigned 5-way blade switch, which offers a dual humbucker option for the first time (see switching positions below).
Other features include mahogany back and neck, rosewood fretboard, pattern thin neck profile, birds, PRS Tremolo, PRS locking tuners, nickel hardware, and 10 Top.
59/09 treble and 59/09 Bass pickups debuted in 2009. These are PRSs vintage-inspired pickups that were designed by Paul Reed Smith in-house to capture the iconic tones of legendary 1950s era guitars. Made with vintage-style wire and wound in-house in PRSs Electronics department, these pickups are modern classics. They are very articulate while providing rich harmonic overtones. The bridge pickup has some heat to it and the neck has warmth with a touch of brightness for balance. The 59/09 PRS Pickups deliver clarity and definition with smack in the face while maintaining a vintage vibe.

The PRS Pattern Thin Neck Profile was perfected after years of prototyping. The Pattern neck is an updated Wide Fat PRS neck style based on designs Paul Reed Smith did in the '70s and '80s for Carlos Santana, Peter Frampton and Howard Leese of Heart. The "Pattern Thin" has a more narrow and tapered feel than the "Pattern Neck" Profile.
