SS Stewart Banjo.....Very Rare 30 Brackets ... 11" Head ...19" Neck.......This one has the Solid (non-adjustable) fastener......Appears to be in the 1887-1893 year range.....The only numbers that I can find are at the front of the head (inside)---a large "2" followed by a small "0".....It also has the " SS Stewart Phila Pa" label (see photos)......The most significant issue being someone has painted the fret-board with a clear finish (also has areas where the clear finish got onto the back of the neck).....I have no idea what type of clear this is , It does not appear to be a very heavy coat as some areas have already worn through......The neck , looks to be in otherwise good shape (fret wear is low)....It is missing the wedge block & I'm not sure whether the tuning pegs are original.....The banjo head assembly looks to be in very good condition (I don't see anything at all missing) ..........This would restore to be a very nice & very vintage "30 Bracket SS Stewart Banjo".......
