For sale is an antique Haines Brothers square grand piano, circa 1842, serial number 16865. This is a "sister" to the piano that the 9th President of the United States, William Henry Harrison, had in the White House. He was one of only two presidents that had a Haines Brothers piano. This particular piano was given by my grandfather to my grandmother as a wedding present, purchasing it from an orchestra director in Baraboo, Wisconsin. It has been part of the family ever since. Similar restored pianos have sold for as much as $40,000.00. Buyer is able to pick the item up or make arrangements to have it shipped at buyer's expense.
