For sale Marching Trombone in very good shape. I am not a Trombone player but ebay members that are trombone players tell me is a great instrument. As you can see from the pictures all parts can be removed easily and the valves move freely. There are only to visible dings as you can see from the pictures. some loss of the lacquer expected from an instrument this old.Below are messages I received from ebay members who were kind enough to help me identify this instrument:Officially it's called a
"compact marching trombone". Some people call them
"flugabone" or "flugelbone". It is strictly speaking a
valve trombone as opposed to a baritone. The bore and bell of a baritone are
different. There are also folks out there who use this as a substitute for a
bass trumpet. As this type of horn goes, I have found this model to be the best
in tune of the many I've tried. Personally, I love the instrument and play it a
lot. It's great to travel with in a flugelhorn gig bag, and that way I can
practice wherever I am. I usually play slide trombone, but that's harder to
take as your personal carryon. Hopes this helps. Let me know if you have other
questions.If you look carefully at
the back side of the valve casings, that horn says "Willson, Switzerland".
That means it was made by Willson and sold by Getzen. Willson is a well-known
company in the low brass world. I have a horn that looks exactly like this. Over
the years, Getzen sold marching trombones made by many different manufacturers. No returns on this item. Thanks you for visiting.
