Yamaha YBL-613H Bass Trombone – Lacquer/Silver plate (used instrument) Product Description The Yamaha YBL-613H is a professional-grade trombone which is widely acknowledged to be one of the brand’s finest. A smooth and responsive slide action and a rich, broad tone are achieved through the use of high-quality materials and precise manufacturing techniques. We have partially refinished this particular instrument, at a cost of £120, with newly silver-plated tuning slides. The D tuning slide is included, but has not been plated because the lacquer was not worn sufficiently to justify the work; it does not look like the D slide has yet been employed.The lacquer on the Bb/Gb/F tuning slides was quite worn so we decided to silver plate them; we could have re-lacquered them - which would have been cheaper - but thought it would look rather good to have them in silver.The instrument arrived with us from an experienced player who was no longer requiring his bass trombone, as he had moved back to Bb tenor. Condition Description: As with all of our instruments, this trombone has been serviced and tested by our brass technician to ensure that it functions fully and plays well. The action of the tuning slides and the rotors is fluid, and the hand slide glides uninterrupted. The instrument has been professionally cleaned internally to a high standard - including the rotors (which were checked for wear or corrosion).  Cosmetically, the trombone external lacquer is imperfect, with patches of worn or scratched lacquer and nickel silver coating on the outer slide, the bell and some of the pipework leading to the rotors. The tuning slides have a brand-new silver plated finish, and so are in excellent condition. There are almost no dents or dings in the brass-work itself.
