Gibson J-160e from 1954, the first year of production for this model. This has a solid spruce top unlike the later model which uses laminate. Some say that this makes it prone to feedback but I've never had any issues. The guitar sounds good acoustically but really comes alive when plugged in! Perfect Beatles tone! This is 100% original. The neck is straight and has a very comfortable low action, lots of life in the frets. Original tuners hold tune well although a coupe are bent. A few professionally repaired hairline cracks in the back of the guitar but completely solid and I have no doubt of it lasting another 60 years. Any questions please just ask. Thank you for looking.
