A very fine French violin by Georges Cone, Lyon, 1937.
A very fine French certified violin made by Georges Cone in Lyon in 1937, as indicated on the original label, also signed and dated inside to the back. This is a nice example of the maker's work made with an inspiration of Stradivarius model. The Lyon school is particularly interesting, because the workmanship and traditions starting with Silvestre are of very high level. The red varnish, typical for this school is also nice and of a beautiful texture.
This instrument is in excellent state of preservation. It is made with excellent skills and personality.
The sound of this violin is rich, elegant, even and powerful, suitable for a fine professional musician. The length over the back is 35.8 cm.
