A superb certified German cello bow by Carl Heinrich Knopf, ca. 1860.

A very fine certified German cello bow made by Carl Heinrich Knopf for Ludwig Christian August Bausch . ca. 1860, branded on the stick under the frog "LEIPZIG  BAUSCH". Heinrich Knopf was one of the greatest German bow makers. His bows are among most interesting and best sounding of the highly important historical period.
This is an outstanding example, suitable for a finest musician, including solo performer. The stick is dark red brown pernambuco, round, strong with some flexibility, focused sound and excellent  balance. It is in a good state of preservation, ready to play. 
The length of the stick is 69.5 cm and the weight is 80 g. Please read complete description in the certificate
