A very fine French certified violin bow Charles Claude Husson, ca.1900, NICE!
A very fine French violin bow made by Charles Claude Husson ca. 1900, branded "CH. HUSSON A PARIS", certified by J.F. Raffin, S. Bigot and Y. Le Canu in Paris.
Charles Claude Husson was excellent bow maker who was working for J.B. Vuillaume and F. N. Voirin. This is excellent example made in the style of Voirin with a wonderful tonal quality and equally fine handling.
The stick is red brown pernambuco, octagonal, strong with fine flexibility, very good balance/handling and a wonderful quality, focused sound. The frog and button are ebony with silver mountings. The bow is in a fine state of preservation with some normal cosmetic wear. It is ready to play with a new hair. The length of the stick is 72.7 cm and the weight of the bow is 60 g.
