A SUPERB old German violin bow by Heinrich Knopf, ca. 1860, OUSTANDING!
A superb, certified old German violin bow made by Heinrich Knopf for
Bausch ca. 1860, branded "L. BAUSCH LEIPZIG".
Heinrich Knopf was one of the greatest old German
bowmakers.
He made some wonderful bows for Bausch family and Kittel.
This is a very beautiful example from the best period in excellent state of preservation.
The
stick is dark red brown pernambuco of superior quality and spectacular figuration, round, strong with excellent
flexibility, soloist sound quality and handling, very similar to best bows made by this maker for KITTEL. The frog and button are ebony with silver mountings. The length of the stick is 72.3 cm and the weight is 60 g. Please note that this is a RARE, SUPERB EXAMPLE, SUITABLE FOR A SOLOIST and bid with confidence; we have sold
