A very rare, old English certified viola bow made by James Dodd ca.1850, SUPERB!

A rare, superb old English certified viola bow made by James Dodd ca. 1850, branded on the stick above the frog. James Dodd was one of the most interesting and finest old English masters. His work has a lots of personality and known for exceptional tonal quality.
This is a wonderful examples, suitable for a soloist in a finest, collector's state of preservation.
The stick is excellent quality, red brown pernambuco, round, strong with perfect flexibility, fine handling and a solo level magnificent sound. The frog and button are ebony with silver mountings. The length of the stick is 71.9 cm and the weight of the bow is 71 g with very light whale bone winding.
