A superb old French violin bow made by Joseph Arthur Vigneron Pere ca. 1895-1900, branded on the stick, certified by J.F. Raffin, Y. Le Canu and S. Bigot in Paris.
J.A. Vigneron was one of the finest French bow makers of the late 19th century. His bows are known and recognized by musicians, collectors and experts worldwide as outstanding, often solo level for their exceptional tonal quality and handling.
This is a specially beautiful example in excellent state of preservation, suitable for a soloist or a leader of the orchestra.
The stick is red brown pernambuco of superior quality and figuration, octagonal in shape, strong with perfect flexibility, superb tonal quality and fine handling. The length of the stick is 72.8 cm and the weight is 61 g.
