Really awesome compact kit
If you're viewing this you're probably in the know about these kits, but if not here's the facts
Yamaha created this kit as a kit to be compact and portable but they refused to let quality suffer due to size, therefore with this kit you get mighty fine birch/mahogany 7 ply shells that pack and real punch (in original, desirable Mellow Yellow finish)
The drums are in the sizes
Kick drum 16" X 20"
10"x6" rack Tom
12" X 5" snare drum
13"x7" hanging floor tom
Also comes with soft case for the toms and snare for when they go inside the kick drum , with dividers
The bass drum on this kit comes apart to allow the toms and snare to be stacked inside for ultimate storage and portability.
The kit is complete with a Yamaha 3 way Tom holder, 1 short Yamaha Tom arm and 2 long Yamaha Tom arms along with the all important unique Yamaha duck foot riser (will also include a small holdall for the hardware , nothing special but it what's I've used for storage, pictured in penultimate photo) also in the last
photo is the dampening ring that was on the kick batter head which was removed by previous owner
The kit came from and old jazz drummer from my home town. Unfortunately there are a few little dings in the kick from when the kit was stored before he owned cases (as it was a home studio kit first of all). Also the top part of the kick drum that detaches, sits slightly uneven. Not sure why but it does not effect the sound of the drum, is not particularly visible and hasn't changed since I got the kit. Have tried to display the marks best I can in photo 8,9&10 and in the 11th photo, I've tried to show the leg bracket. Unfortunately it seems to have been over tightened so it now has some thread tape used to sturdy it. It seems to work fine and hold the leg firmly but again it just cannot be over tightened.
This kit is a wonderful set of drums from a top class company. They are very rare and sought after, I've seen a drum shop selling one in a less desirable colour for £1299 so I feel my price is fair and competitive
