Dear musicians and collectors, you are bidding on a very old 4/4 violin. The neck is not original. The grafted scroll is possibly not original too. Here are the summary:1) Fine Masterpiece; the varnish is not original. The violin is extremely old and there is not a lot of original varnish left.2) approx. 200 years old3) GOOD condition - there are absolutely no open cracks!4) A very fine EUROPEAN violin. Possibly Gagliano family.5) Ready to play. Great and powerful sound. New strings are recommended. 6) Sensitive sound - dark nature. You just touch the strings and the violin starts to sing. The body is big and healthy providing a very juicy sound.The scroll is grafted. The corners inside are present!The wood is very beautiful and the purfling looks amazing. The setup is very beautiful ebony. It really makes sense to see the violin before bidding, since this violin could accompany you all your life.
