This No Reserve auction, is for a vintage, date-stamped 1969 Ludwig " SUPER-CLASSIC " three piece drum outfit.Sizes are; 14" deep x 22" wide bass drum ( serial # 704063 date stamp APR 22 1969 ), 16" deep x 16" wide floor tom ( serial # 757018 no date stamp ), and a 9" deep x 13" wide tom-tom ( serial # 704065 date stamp APR 23 1969 ). The bass drum and the mounted tom have Ludwig "keystone" badges, while the floor tom has a Ludwig Blue/Olive badge.Shells are constructed out of three plies of wood ( mahogany/poplar/maple ), and all three shells have solid maple interior glue rings. The insides are finished in gorgeous natural maple.Exteriors are factory wrapped in Ludwig silver sparkle. The finish is completely stock and original, and it is in excellent condition. It is slightly faded with age and the finish is gingeraled, but it shines beautifully. The color is consistent all the way around each shell and there is no separation or loosening of the seams. All three drums are free from modifications and every single bearing edge is stock and retain their original profile.The bass drum is outfitted with 20 Ludwig "Classic" lugs, two retractable spurs and brackets, 20 Ludwig Bass drum T-rods & claws, a Ludwig rail consolette tom holder, and a Ludwig Classic style L-arm cymbal holder and bracket. Two original maple bass drum hoops are included, each hoop has 100% of it's original silver sparkle inlay strips.The floor tom is factory outfitted with sixteen Ludwig "Classic" lugs, two Ludwig steel, triple-flanged hoops, 16 Ludwig tension rods, and three Ludwig floor tom legs & brackets. The mounted tom is also outfitted with sixteen Ludwig "Classic" lugs, two Ludwig steel triple-flanged hoops, 16 Ludwig tension rods, and a Ludwig "Classic" single tom mounting bracket. All of the chrome plated fittings are brilliantly plated, and they are free from rusting or pitting.A Ludwig "Classic" L-arm cymbal holder is included with this drum set.
