Up for bids is Gibson vintage 1984 Explorer body.This is the real deal not a reissue! It was originally white as you can see from the cavities just like James Hetfields 84 explorer and has the same knob configuration also.I am assuming that it was so heavily checked that it was stripped and stained to a natural finish later in its life.The refinish job is not professional so it needs work.Thats a shame because this would have been a killer vintage explorer.This still can look great again with some time and work.The body itself is in great condition frets have normal wear but there are no cracks,breaks or repairs that I can see.It has the back plate,truss rod cover and strap buttons not sure if they are original.This is being sold AS-IS as a project and needs other parts to become a complete guitar.The fretboard does show some wear with divots on the first 3-4 frets this is only normal from a vintage guitar of this year.This must have been a beauty when it was new. It is still a vintage Gibson and can look new again!!!! **I have the original dirty fingers pickups and other parts if your interested** I play guitar and drums and have a massive collection of both.I love getting new toys and I am open to ideas if your interested in this piece.
